Just connect each CAN module using RJ-11 connector to IN/OUT RJ-11 Port. Just remove CAN module if that device should be removed and connect devices on the other sides using the new longer RJ-11 cable with connector.
Compare to RS485 of old type communication method, this is much higher performance as well as cost effective. CAN support 1Mbit/s with up to 50meter distance and 50Kbit/s for 1.6Kmeter.
